In just 7 short days, we’ll take you round the highlights, giving you time to stop and soak in the sights and culture. Ever wanted to ride a camel across the desert? We’ve got that sorted. Sand-boarding down the dunes like in a movie? You can tick that off your list. Or even star gazing from your own traditional Beber tent? You’ll need a new scrapbook just for this trip! Itinerary

  • We’ll kick off our Moroccan adventure picking you up at Marrakesh’s airport. Hotel accommodation is provided in Marrakesh as we stay there for our first night.
  • In the imperial city of Marrakech is teeming with charm. Check out the famous Jamaa el-Fnaa market square and its delicious local foods, hand-crafted clothing and jewellery, and much more!
  • We’ll jump straight in with a city tour including the outstanding Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, and the Koutoubia Mosque with its famous minaret.
  • We’ll then head towards Ouarzazate, known as the “Door of the Desert” through the Atlas Mountains, and then on to Tizi n’Tichka so you can soak up the stunning natural views.
  • We’ll also show you round on of the main producers of Moroccan Argan Oil products and learn about the production process and the in-numerous health benefits attached to the oils.
  • We will continue south and follow the 6km track that leads to the village of Ait Ben Haddou, famous for its Kasbah (which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site). You might even recognise is as a filming location in many hollywood films!
  • After breakfast, we’ll head up the mountains to experience one of the best views of the postcard-worthy Moroccan canyons. After several stops, we will arrive at one of the most iconic places in the South: the Todra Canyon. 
  • From there, we’ll head to the Sahara. Take only the essentials with you for this evening – you don’t want them to be the straw the break the camel’s back!
  • Hop on a camel as we ride to our Beber camp. where we’ll have the chance to catch the sunset over the dunes before a traditional moroccan dinner.
  • Finally, we’ll spend the night in typical Berber tents. Stargazing is an absolute must here, to fill you with wonder and finish the day off.
  • After an unforgettable night in the desert and filling breakfast, we make a quick stop for sandboarding through the dunes – Unleash your wild side.we’ll then head to a number of historic villages with some phenomenal views, passing the ZIZ Valley and Tizi-n Talghomt.
  • We’ll stop briefly in Midelt for lunch. before continuing through the cedar forest and seeinge the Moroccan monkeys in their natural habitat!
  • In the Evening we’ll arrive in Fez, Morocco’s cultural capital.
  • After breakfast, we explore one of the oldest imperial cities. Founded in 808, Fez is one of the first political, religious, and cultural capitals in the world and is truly incredible.
  • We will begin the official tour at the Golden Doors of the spectacular Royal Palace. You’ll also have a chance to explore the historical Medina, to immerse yourself in the history and culture. 
  • When the tour is over, we will head to Chaouen, the famous “hippie,” fully painted, blue city. Well worth some pictures!
  • Our local official guide will take us around unravelling some of Chaouen’s best-kept secrets. After the tour we have free time to explore the blue city by day and go shopping.
  • We will head to Rabat after Chefchaouen. Morocco’s political and administrative capital may be short on top-drawer tourist attractions, but it compensates with plenty of charm. There’s a clean central beach, an intact and evocative Kasbah, and an attractive walled medina that is far less touristy than those in other large cities.
  • After breakfast, Our professionally guided tour through Morocco’s capital Rabat takes place. The city also has many fascinating historic sites, including the picturesque Kasbah of the Udayas, built in the mid-12th century.
  • After having visited Rabat, we will head to Casablanca for getting the chance to see one of the biggest mosques of the world (Hassan II Mosque) before heading back to Marrakesh.
  • After our arrival back inMarrakesh, we’ll organise a special group dinner to enjoy the last night of the trip together.
  • After an unforgettable week full of exciting memories and new experiences the trips is ending We’ll make sure you get back to the airport in time for your flight, and say goodbye on the trip of a lifetime!

Frequently Asked Questions

The standard ticket will include a small, under seat bag with maximum dimensions of 40 x 30 x 20 cm. You can purchase an additional cabin bag with maximum dimensions of 55 x 40 x 23 cm as an add on to your ticket.

Please note, you will only be able to purchase a cabin bag until the deposit deadline date. After this date, you will only be able to purchase additional baggage at the airport.

We reserve the right to issue you a refund for the cost of the cabin bag in the instance the airline has sold out of cabin bag spaces.

The Currency used in your destination is Moroccan Dirham. 

Having some cash is always useful on your trip, but not essential (unless there is city tax required – see & ‘Other Costs in FAQs’). The majority of establishments will accept card payments. Digital Bank cards such as Monzo, Revolut or Starling are particularly useful as they have low charges.

Travel insurance is not included as standard in our ticket costs unless specified in the trip inclusions of your trip page. We highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance for your trip to avoid additional costs in the instance of an accident.

There is no City tax in Morocco.

If you have purchased add-ons, You will be provided the necessary information and your ticket prior to arrival at your destination. If for any reason the activity gets cancelled, or is unable to run, you will receive a full refund of the add-on within 14 days of being notified.

If you are an international student, you may require a visa to travel with us. This is the participants’ responsibility and UniLife will not be held responsible or liable in any way in the instance that participants cannot travel because they do not have the relevant visa required.

We require full passport details at least 4 weeks before the date of departure. You can add your passport details by logging in and following this link . https://unilifeuk.com/passport-details/

We require all passports to have a minimum of 6 months validity from the date of travel. Please check your passport validity before you purchase a ticket. If you do require a new passport, this generally takes 6-8 weeks. However, fast track services are available. Please ensure that you apply for a new passport in a timely manner to prevent any delays or disruption to your travel.

Your rooming preferences are recorded via the passport information section of your account. Please ensure you fill this out as soon as possible. We try our best to accommodate all requests, however are unable to in some cases.

We will always prioritise single-gender rooming requests over other preferences, and will release these to the group shortly prior to departure.

Unfortunately, we can’t provide refunds of the trip deposit. However, If you can no longer attend the trip, it may be possible to sell your ticket to another participant, subject to the Airline or Ferry name change fees. Generally, this is £50 each way (£100 total for a return flight).

You can do this by contacting support@unilifeuk.com with your name, the trip you are travelling on, and full name, e-mail and phone number of the person taking your ticket. If you are struggling to find someone, we would suggest asking your committee first.
