Start your trip at Broadway Tower where the countryside stretches out in every direction and the views feel like the perfect escape. Take a moment to breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the picture perfect scenery.

Next, wander through Broadway village with its golden stone buildings, cosy cafes and local shops. The streets are easy to explore and the village has a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to linger.

Finish the day in Bourton on the Water, where the gentle river winds through the village, lined with quaint bridges and peaceful spots to relax. By the end of the trip, you will have discovered some of the most iconic viewpoints and charming corners of the Cotswolds, all at a comfortable, unhurried pace.

Itinerary

08:00 – We begin our trip with a coach pick-up from the pick-up point in Portsmouth. Our Trip Leaders will ensure that everyone has arrived and is ready to depart.

Our first stop is Broadway Tower, one of the Cotswolds’ most iconic viewpoints. Take in the sweeping countryside vistas, snap some photos, and enjoy a moment of fresh air and wide-open space.

From the tower, we will begin a short, scenic walk down to Broadway Village. Wander along quiet lanes and take in the rolling hills as you make your way into the heart of this classic Cotswolds village.

Once in Broadway Village, you’ll have free time to explore the charming streets, browse the local shops, and grab lunch at one of the cosy cafes. Take your time soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying the golden stone buildings and relaxed vibes.

After lunch, we hop back on the coach for the short journey to Bourton on the Water. This picturesque village, often called the Venice of the Cotswolds, is perfect for a gentle stroll along the river, crossing its quaint bridges, and discovering peaceful spots to relax.

17:00 – Meet back at the coach pick up point in Bourton on the Water to return home to Portsmouth.

Lovely and memorable trip

I recently joined a trip with UniLife UK, and it was an amazing experience. Our Trip Leaders, Ema and Gimhan, were incredibly creative in organising optional schedules outside of the main walking tour. These optional activities were really helpful, especially for those of us who weren’t sure where to go or needed ideas for places to visit.

It was all we needed, and more!

I really enjoyed how the group leaders Amelie and Maia way of making us feel like we were on the right track; and made us feel safe by their friendly and reliable energy. They knew the best spots, and were very willing to add fun to something that can easily be a stressful activity. 10/10 travelling experience!
