Blending its medieval origins with modern architecture, there is something for every visitor to explore and enjoy. Take time to visit some historic landmarks, such as the Rosenborg Castle, Christiansborg Palace, and the iconic waterfront district of Nyhavn.

Copenhagen in renowned for its culinary scene. Boasting delicious street food markets, traditional Danish bakeries and even Michelin-starred restaurants, there is something for everyone in this city.

Itinerary

Please note, this is a sample itinerary. No activities are included unless specified in the ‘What’s Included’ section.

  • You’ll meet with your UniLife Trip Leaders at your chosen pick-up destination and head to the airport to catch your flight!
  • Once landed in Denmark, proceed through passport control and hop on your airport transfers to the accommodation.
  • Our Trip Leaders will get you checked in and settled so you can make the most of your first evening in Copenhagen. We have plenty of recommendations from our many trips here, which we’ll share on the group chat so you can start getting to know the city!

You will spend the morning with the group, learning the history of the city on a guided walking tour.

Following the tour, you will have an afternoon of free time to explore the city how you like!

  • Take time to explore one of the many world-class museums and galleries that this city has to offer. You can head to the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek and explore hundreds of pieces of art and sculptures.
  • Stroll around the Tivoli Gardens and enjoy Copenhagen’s world-famous amusement park
  • Explore Scandinavian cuisine by enjoying a Danish pastry.

A day of free time to explore the city how you like!

  • Check out Nyhavn – whilst it is a tourist area, it’s pastel 17th-century merchant houses are picture perfect and instagram worthy! This is also a good spot to hop on a canal tour or grab some lunch from the food market.
  • Take time to head to Rosenborg Castle.  This fairytale castle is home to the Danish crown jewels, a priceless wine collection, and is one of Copenhagen’s oldest royal parks.
  • The best way to experience this city as though you were a local, rent a bike and explore Copenhagen via the world-class cycling infrastructure.
  • We’ll check out of the hostel and put your bags in luggage storage.
  • You’ll have a final chance to explore and see any sights you might have missed!
  • After meeting back at the hostel, you’ll hop on your transfers back to the airport and board your flight back the UK.
  • Once back, we’ll proceed through to the arrivals area, making the end of the trip. Until next time!
