There’s no better way to fall in love with Europe than our showstopper: The European Adventure. This extended 7-day trip visits 4 of the most famous cities within Europe, meaning its perfect for travellers who simply can’t get enough. Through the snaking canals in Amsterdam, to the beautiful cobbled streets of Bruges, the incredible city of Brussels and last but not least, the romantic French capital of Paris. We’ve got an itinerary that will cover all the major sights and give you a true flavour of Europe, or we can be flexible to visit the cities and sites that interest you. This adventure is sure to leave you with some life long memories and an urge to see the rest of the continent!
The meeting point is Mayor’s Walk, Down the side of the O2 Building, LE1 7RH at 22:00 on the 13th December.
22:00 – We’ll start our journey on private executive transport to Amsterdam. Our friendly Trip leaders will ensure all participants are safe and ready for the weekend.
04:25 – We will board the ferry at Dover and make our way to Calais.
06:15 – Arrival in Calais, we will re-board the coach. The drive from Calais to Amsterdam will take just over 4 hours.
11:00 – You will have time to put your bags into the secure hold and do some exploring before check-in.
You’ll then have some free time to grab some lunch.
15:00 – Check-in – Our leaders will help you get checked into the hostel.
We will be staying at Hans Brinker Hostel Amsterdam, Kerkstraat 136-138, 1017 GR Amsterdam, Amsterdam, Netherlands.
You will have free time for the rest of the day!
9:00 – Grab your breakfast, and we head out into the city.
10:00 – There will be staggered tours booked throughout the day at 10:00, 11:30, 13:00 & 14:30. The trip leaders will tell you what tour you are on.
After your tour you will have free time.
Spend the day visiting the Heineken museum, the red light district or in one of the many creperies dotted around the city.
20:00 – Once you’ve had your fill, meet with your trip leaders and have a drink in one of Europe’s party capitals.
08:30 – You’ll check out of the hostel and depart for Belgium and head to Brussels.
13:00 – We will arrive in Brussels at around and you will be checked into the accommodation.

15:00 – We have another guided tour arranged to give you insight into the history of the fairytale-like town before you have your own chance to explore for the rest of the day.
At night, you’ll get a flavour of the Belgian nightlife as we take you around some traditional pubs and popular bars.
9:00 – We will board the coach and head to Bruges for an exciting day trip.
11:00 – We anticipate arriving in Bruges at 11am. You’ll then have some free time to grab some lunch.
14:00 – There is a private guided walking tour booked in Bruges
18:00 – We will head back to Brussels where we recommend indulging yourself after the tour in some traditional Belgian waffles or Frites.
9:00 – We will depart the hostel and board the coach to our final destination: Paris.
14:00 – We’ll arrive in Paris, check into the accommodation.

The group will spend the afternoon exploring the city and enjoying the world famous sites that this city has to offer!
10:00 – Its our final guided tour, where you’ll see what millions of people from all over the world visit Paris for. The city has a timeless familiarity for first-time and frequent visitors, with instantly recognisable architectural icons, along with exquisite cuisine, chic boutiques and priceless artistic treasures.
You will get free time after the guided tour in order to explore this fantastic city further on your own for the rest of the day.
In the evening, we will get the chance to go out together for dinner or a drink in order to celebrate the last evening of the tour.
9:00 – We’ll check out at 09:00 and hop back on the coach.
15:00 – Our ferry is at 3pm.
20:00 – Arrive back in Leicester.
All our trips are fully risk-assessed and our suppliers adhere to our health and safety standards. Please note that, unless an aspect of the trip is explicitly mentioned in the ‘What’s Included’ section of your trip page, it does not fall under our health and safety policy and therefore participants partake in any additional activities at their own risk.
We ask participants to be mindful of their own safety and to inform their trip leader of anything that they feel could be a potential hazard or concern.
You will have free time on your trip to spend and explore how you wish! We may include recommendations on the trip page or in the itinerary, but these are merely suggestions and you are under no obligation to follow them.
If you are out and about, we strongly encourage you to explore with other members of your group and keep the trip leader up-to-date with your plans.
Travel insurance is not included as standard in our ticket costs unless specified in the trip inclusions of your trip page. You MUST have valid travel insurance for your trip and medical coverage in the instance of an accident.

The Currency used in the destinations is the Euro.
Having some cash is always useful on your trip, but not essential (unless there is city tax required – see ‘Other Costs’ in FAQs). The majority of establishments will accept card payments. Digital Bank cards such as Monzo, Revolut or Starling are particularly useful as they have low currency exchange charges.
While there is no luggage limit when travelling via coach, we ask that participants keep to one large suitcase and one item of hand luggage each.
City tax is not included in your trip ticket and is payable via card once you meet your Trip Leader.
If you have purchased add-ons, You will be provided the necessary information and your ticket prior to arrival at your destination. If for any reason the activity gets cancelled, or is unable to run, you will receive a full refund of the add-on within 14 days of being notified.
We require full passport details at least 4 weeks before the date of departure. You can add your passport details by logging in and following this link https://unilifeuk.com/passport-details/
We require all passports to have a minimum of 6 months validity from the date of travel. Please check your passport validity before you purchase a ticket. If you do require a new passport, this generally takes 6-8 weeks. However, fast-track services are available. Please ensure that you apply for a new passport in a timely manner to prevent any delays or disruption to your travel.
Your rooming preferences are recorded via the passport information section of your account. Please ensure you fill this out as soon as possible. We try our best to accommodate all requests, however are unable to in some cases.
We will always prioritise single-gender rooming requests over other preferences, and will release these to the group shortly prior to departure.
Unfortunately, we can’t provide refunds of the trip deposit. However, If you can no longer attend the trip, it may be possible to sell your ticket to another participant, subject to the Airline or Ferry name change fees. Generally, this is £50 each way (£100 total for a return flight).
You can do this by contacting support@unilifeuk.com with your name, the trip you are travelling on, and full name, e-mail and phone number of the person taking your ticket. If you are struggling to find someone, we would suggest asking your committee first.
If you are an international student, you may require a visa to travel with us. This is the participants’ responsibility and UniLife will not be held responsible or liable in any way in the instance that participants cannot travel because they do have the relevant visa required.
