Take your time to savour the English lifestyle, sipping tea in historic tearooms, strolling along the serene Backs, and indulging in traditional scones and clotted cream. Immerse yourself in the city’s lively pubs, where culture and conviviality intertwine seamlessly. In Cambridge, the past and the present coexist harmoniously, creating an enchanting experience for every traveler.

Itinerary

7:45am – Meet at the bus rank on Welford Road, opposite Tigers Stadium, Leicester LE2 7AJ

  • We begin our trip with a coach pick-up from the pick-up point in Leicester. Our Trip Leaders will ensure that everyone has arrived and is ready to depart.

11:00am – Guided Walking Tour Starts.

  • On arrival we will meet our expert tour guide and set off on a group walking tour to explore the historic streets and iconic landmarks of this famous city.
  • You’ll have free-time in the afternoon to explore the rest of Cambridge.

16:50pm – Meet at the drop off point to return to Leicester.

  • We’ll then be returning back to the pick-up spot in Leicester after an unforgettable day.
  • Visit King’s College Chapel, one of the most iconic landmarks in Cambridge. Explore the beautiful interior and, if you’re lucky, you might catch a choir rehearsal or service.
  • Experience Cambridge’s quintessential activity by going punting on the River Cam. Explore the city from the water and witness the incredible history and architecture the city has to offer.
  • Explore the University of Cambridge Botanic Garden, a peaceful oasis with a wide variety of plant collections, including alpine, rock, and woodland gardens.
  • Head to Market Square, the city’s vibrant centre. You can browse stalls selling fresh produce, local crafts, and more. Don’t miss the Great St. Mary’s Church nearby.

Day trip tickets are non-refundable but can be sold to another participant.

We recommend bringing comfortable clothing and footwear suitable for the weather conditions. Don’t forget your camera, sunscreen, and any personal items you may need during the day.

Yes, we will provide you with the meeting point and departure time well in advance of the trip via email.

Yes, our friendly and knowledgeable UniLife Trip Leader will accompany you throughout the trip to provide information about the destinations and answer any questions you may have.

Rain or shine, we still travel in the UK.  Please check the weather forecast before you go and wear appropriate clothing such as a waterproof jacket and good footwear for rainy days.

If you can no longer attend the trip, it may be possible to sell your ticket to another participant.

You can do this by contacting support@unilifeuk.com with your name, the trip you are travelling on, and full name, e-mail and phone number of the person taking your ticket.

UniLife is a student travel company and is aimed at students, however, we welcome anyone on our trips. We believe the more, the merrier.

Entry into attractions is not included in your ticket unless otherwise stated.

UniLife Trip Leaders, staff or suppliers may take photos of you/the group for promotional purposes. By booking onto the trip, you consent to your likeness being used in these images or videos.
