Prague is a tried and tested destination for student travellers. With cheap beer, a buzzing atmosphere throughout the whole city, and more history than you could absorb in 10 visits, it’s got everything. Prague Castle and the famous Charles Bridge are essential for any visitor, where you can see the changing of the Guard, the St. Vitus Cathedral and relax at the top of Petrin Hill while taking in the city views. 

The Old Town square also provides some brilliant pictures and a wide range of food choices, where you can fill up before heading to any of Prague’s many famous bars and pubs. With the popular 5-floor Karlovy Lazne, or the wonderfully weird Cross Club, you’ll be sure to find a place you love – Prague is a city that caters for all!

Itinerary

Please note, this is a sample itinerary. No activities are included unless specified in the ‘What’s Included’ section.

  • You’ll meet with your UniLife Trip Leaders at your chosen pick-up destination and head to the airport to catch your flight!
  • Once landed in Czechia, proceed through passport control and hop on your airport transfers to the accommodation.
  • Our trip leaders will get you checked in and settled so you can make the most of your first evening in Prague. We have plenty of recommendations from our many trips here, which we’ll share on the group chat so you can start getting to know the city!

A day of free time to explore the city how you like! Here are some recommendations:

  • Visit Prague Castle, the largest ancient castle in the world. Explore St. Vitus Cathedral, the Royal Palace, and the picturesque Golden Lane.
  • Try some Czech cuisine at a local restaurant.
  • Cross the iconic Charles Bridge and explore the charming streets of Lesser Town.
  • Join us for an exciting bar crawl through Prague’s nightlife hotspots.

In the evening meet your Trip Leaders for an Bar Crawl visiting Prague’s hotspots!

Here are some things we recommend to do with your free time:

  • Visit the Astronomical Clock in the Old Town Square and watch the hourly show.
  • Explore the Jewish Quarter (Josefov) and visit the historic Jewish cemetery and synagogues.
  • Take a walk along the Vltava River and enjoy the scenic views.
  • Consider attending traditional Czech folk show.
  • We’ll check out of the hostel and put your bags in luggage storage.
  • You’ll have a final chance to explore and see any sights you might have missed!
  • After meeting back at the hostel, you’ll hop on your transfers back to the airport and board your flight back the UK.
  • Once back, we’ll proceed through to the arrivals area, making the end of the trip. Until next time!
