Krakow

Duration: 4 days

Krakow is a tried and tested destination for students looking for the perfect weekend break. Centered around the Old town and Medieval square, the city offers delicious food options, intriguing museums and, if you fancy some more culture, Wawel castle is a delightful walk with some lovely views over the Vistula river. There are also two fantastic day trips to do from Krakow – the heart-wrenching yet essential Auschwitz, or the incredible and unique Wieliczka Salt Mines.

If you’d prefer simply to sit back and have a drink or two, you’d be spoilt for choice here. With the highest density of bars in the world, above and below ground, a pub crawl might take several months, and with the price of beer a lot cheaper than the UK there’s no wonder why Krakow is one of the most balanced and popular destinations for students.
