Itinerary

  • We begin our trip with a coach pick-up from the pick-up point. Our trip leaders will ensure that everyone has arrived and is ready to depart.
  • We will then be hiking to the summit of Orrest Head, a relatively easy 3.5km round trip and rewarding climb. From the top, you’ll be treated to breathtaking panoramic views of the Lake District.
  • Next we’ll be visiting Bowness-on-Windermere, a picturesque town located on the shores of Lake Windermere. You can take a leisurely stroll along the lakefront promenade and enjoy views of the largest natural lake in England. It is also home to the World of Beatrix Potter.
  • You’ll then have some free time to continue exploring everything that Windermere has to offer.
  • We’ll then be returning back to the pick-up spot after an unforgettable day.
  • As the largest natural lake in England, Lake Windermere is the centrepiece of the area. Take time to admire the surrounding fells and enjoy the serene waters.
  • Discover the world of Beatrix Potter, the famous author of children’s books like “Peter Rabbit.” The exhibition features life-sized characters and beautiful gardens.
  • Explore Wray Castle, a Victorian neo-gothic mansion located on the shores of Lake Windermere. The castle offers a fascinating glimpse into the Victorian era.
