Portsmouth SU goes to Bath, Salisbury & Stonehenge!

Please note this is a shared coach trip.

Spend a weekend exploring some of the UK’s most well known places. Start in Bath, a beautiful city full of history and character, before visiting the famous Stonehenge. You’ll also have time in Salisbury, with its impressive cathedral and historic city centre. It’s a great weekend away with plenty to see along the way.

Itinerary

We’ll start with a coach pick-up from Portsmouth SU, where our Trip Leaders will be there to meet the group.
Once we arrive, we’ll head to the hostel so you can check in and drop off your bags before heading out.
We’ll then head out on a private walking tour of Bath with a local guide. You’ll learn more about the city as you walk through the historic centre.
After the tour, the evening is yours. You’ll have free time to explore Bath or spend the evening however you like before heading back to the hostel.

We’ll start the morning by checking out of the hostel before getting back on the coach and heading to Stonehenge.
Once we arrive, you’ll have time to explore the site and visitor centre. Your entry ticket is included, so everything is sorted before you arrive.
After Stonehenge, we’ll continue to Salisbury, where you’ll have some free time to explore the city and see Salisbury Cathedral.
Once we’re ready to head home, we’ll meet back at the coach and make our way to Portsmouth SU.

What's included?

Return Transport via Private Coach

All your travel between Portsmouth SU, Bath, Stonehenge and Salisbury is sorted. Just meet us at the pick-up point and we’ll take care of the journey from there.

Comfortable and Convenient Accommodation

Your accommodation in Bath is already sorted. You’ll have a bed booked in a student friendly hostel, so you won’t need to worry about finding a place to stay. Just check in when you arrive and you’re all set.

Entry ticket to Stonehenge

Your Stonehenge ticket is booked in advance, so everything is sorted before you arrive. Once you get there, you can head inside and take your time looking around the site.

Private, Professional Guided Walking Tour

Your private walking tour of Bath is included in your trip. A local guide will take you around the city and show you some of the places that make Bath so special, while sharing the stories behind them. It’s a great way to get to know the city when you first arrive.

Trained UniLife Trip Leader

A UniLife Trip Leader will be with you throughout the day to help with any questions and make sure everything stays on track!

It was all we needed, and more!

I really enjoyed how the group leaders Amelie and Maia way of making us feel like we were on the right track; and made us feel safe by their friendly and reliable energy. They knew the best spots, and were very willing to add fun to something that can easily be a stressful activity. 10/10 travelling experience!

Pick up and organisation was great! The hostel was amazing! We also had a city tour which I really enjoyed. Our Trip Leaders were very friendly and welcoming.

I recently joined a trip with UniLife UK, and it was an amazing experience. Our Trip Leaders, Ema and Gimhan, were incredibly creative in organising optional schedules outside of the main walking tour. These optional activities were really helpful, especially for those of us who weren’t sure where to go or needed ideas for places to visit.

You will have free time on your trip to spend and explore how you wish! We may include recommendations on the trip page or in the itinerary, but these are merely suggestions and you are under no obligation to follow them.

If you are out and about, we strongly encourage you to explore with other members of your group and keep the trip leader up-to-date with your plans.

All our trips are fully risk-assessed and our suppliers adhere to our health and safety standards. Please note that, unless an aspect of the trip is explicitly mentioned in the ‘What’s Included’ section of your trip page, it does not fall under our health and safety policy and therefore participants partake in any additional activities at their own risk.

We ask participants to be mindful of their own safety and to inform their trip leader of anything that they feel could be a potential hazard or concern.

Travel insurance is not included as standard in our ticket costs unless specified in the trip inclusions of your trip page. We highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance for your trip to avoid additional costs in the instance of an accident. If you are a UK citizen, you will already have coverage from the NHS and therefore do not require medical insurance.

You can purchase travel insurance as an add on during the checkout process. We use Endsleigh Insurance to provide insurance. More information can be found here – https://unilifeuk.com/advice/travel-insurance/

If you have purchased add-ons, You will be provided the necessary information and your ticket prior to arrival at your destination. If for any reason the activity gets cancelled, or is unable to run, you will receive a full refund of the add-on within 14 days of being notified.

Unfortunately, we can’t provide refunds for the trip deposit. However, If you can no longer attend the trip, it may be possible to sell your ticket to another participant.

You can do this by contacting support@unilifeuk.com with your name, the trip you are travelling on, and full name, e-mail and phone number of the person taking your ticket. If you are struggling to find someone, we would suggest asking your committee first.

Our accommodation varies depending on the destination, with a mix of hostel and apartments – don’t worry though, they are always high-rated!

The name of the accommodation will be confirmed in your trip Info Letter, which will be sent out once ticket sales have closed.

We stay in multi-bed rooms which are always kept private to the group – so you won’t be sharing with anyone outside of your booking!
