Health & Safety

Health and Safety at UniLife Experiences

At UniLife Experiences, we prioritise the safety and well-being of our clients, employees, and partners. Our commitment to health and safety is integral to our operations and is reflected in our comprehensive policies and procedures. Here’s an overview of what we do to ensure a safe and secure environment for everyone involved:

Our Commitment

UniLife Experiences is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of health and safety. We adhere to all national and local regulations, industry standards, and best practices. Our policies are designed to prevent accidents, manage risks effectively, and promote a culture of safety throughout our organisation.

Safety Standards for Accommodation Providers

We ensure that all accommodation providers comply with local and national fire, safety, and hygiene standards. This includes:

  • Regular fire safety checks and compliance with fire regulations.
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene and sanitation.
  • Ensuring the availability of current liability insurance coverage for the duration of our contracts.

Safety Standards for Coach Providers

Our coach providers are required to meet rigorous safety standards, including:

  • Compliance with national, local, and industry-specific regulations.
  • Adhering to driver hours regulations to prevent fatigue.
  • Thorough vetting and background checks of drivers.
  • Maintaining comprehensive insurance coverage.

Training for Trip Leaders

Our trip leaders play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our clients. We provide extensive training to ensure they are well-prepared to handle any situation. This training includes:

  • Comprehensive health and safety guidelines.
  • Regular updates and refresher courses on safety protocols.

Continuous Improvement

We are committed to continuously improving our health and safety practices. This involves regular training for our staff and staying updated with the latest safety regulations and innovations in the industry.

Partner Engagement

We work closely with our partners to ensure they understand and comply with our health and safety standards. We believe in building long-term relationships based on mutual commitment to safety and quality.

ABTA and ATOL Protection

We are proud members of ABTA (Association of British Travel Agents) and hold ATOL (Air Travel Organiser’s Licence) certification.

  • ABTA Membership: This provides financial protection and a high standard of service to our clients. As an ABTA member, we adhere to a strict Code of Conduct, ensuring we operate with integrity and transparency. Our clients can book with confidence, knowing they are covered by ABTA’s consumer protection.
  • ATOL Certification: ATOL is a financial protection scheme managed by the UK Civil Aviation Authority. It protects our clients in the unlikely event of our insolvency. If you have booked a holiday with us that includes flights, your money is safe and you will not be stranded abroad. If we are unable to provide the services you have booked, you will receive a refund or be repatriated.

At UniLife Experiences, health and safety are more than just policies; they are a core part of our ethos and operations. By upholding these standards, we aim to provide safe, enjoyable, and memorable experiences for all our clients.
