Amazing mountains, tranquil lakes and fantastic hikes, Snowdonia is an incredible region with some breathtaking, panoramic views. Tied in with Welsh legend, the rolling peaks will leave you with a sense of wonder, especially if you believe the myth that the Snowden summit is the tomb of a giant, or that the final resting place of King Arthur is in one of the surrounding valleys. Once you reach the top, by foot or by the famous train, its not hard to see why the medieval Welsh folk believed such stories. Come with us and experience a weekend away to one of the most beautiful and captivating regions that the UK has to offer.

Itinerary

We will begin our trip by driving to our first stop of the weekend, Conwy & Conwy Castle.
Arrive at Conwy Castle. It’s a beautiful castle with some great history and astonishing views.
There will be an opportunity to grab some food before we head to our next stop.
We’ll continue our day by driving to Llanberis, a small village in Snowdonia, where we will be spending a few hours exploring the village.
We will be driving to Pen–Y–Pass at this time. The accommodation is in an ideal location for trekking.

You will spend today trekking! With the group, you will walk up the Pyg pass and down the miner’s route. You’ll have the opportunity to reach the summit of mount Snowdon, enjoying the picturesque views.
We’ll make some amazing photo stops, including the stunning lake that is at the foot of the climb to the top.
After we reach the summit, we’ll start our descent and make our way back home.

You will have free time on your trip to spend and explore how you wish! We may include recommendations on the trip page or in the itinerary, but these are merely suggestions and you are under no obligation to follow them.

If you are out and about, we strongly encourage you to explore with other members of your group and keep the trip leader up-to-date with your plans.

Travel insurance is not included as standard in our ticket costs unless specified in the trip inclusions of your trip page. We highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance for your trip to avoid additional costs in the instance of an accident. If you are a UK citizen, you will already have coverage from the NHS and therefore do not require medical insurance.

If you have purchased add-ons, You will be provided the necessary information and your ticket prior to arrival at your destination. If for any reason the activity gets cancelled, or is unable to run, you will receive a full refund of the add-on within 14 days of being notified.

Unfortunately, we can’t provide refunds for the trip deposit. However, If you can no longer attend the trip, it may be possible to sell your ticket to another participant.

You can do this by contacting [email protected] with your name, the trip you are travelling on, and full name, e-mail and phone number of the person taking your ticket. If you are struggling to find someone, we would suggest asking your committee first.
