Itinerary

Welcome to Hanoi!

Once you make it through the Noi Bai International Airport (HAN), please head through to the arrivals hall and meet our friendly driver there – ready to take you to your hotel.

After you have been checked in and have settled into your room, it’s time to begin your adventure!

The first day is all about settling in and finding your bearings so we recommend aiming to arrive around midday to allow you time to freshen up and explore the day markets before we meet for a group dinner in the evening.

To welcome you to Hanoi, the group will embark on the best food tour in the city, teaching you about the culture and history of this thousand-year-old town whilst experiencing the flavours of one of the world’s best destinations for food lovers. You will have the chance to try a range of delicious dishes, as well as see how Hanoian Egg Coffee is made and taste the traditional drink.

The best way to explore the streets of Hanoi’s Old Quarter is through this tour and hopefully it will leave you excited for your travels to come!

Today you will explore the untouched countryside on bike, cruise down the river on traditional paddle boards and enjoy the amazing 360-degree views from the Laying Dragon Mountain.

Setting off early in the morning, the group will depart for the Ninh Binh province, nestled in the Red River Delta of Northern Vietnam.

Begin the day by visiting the Bich Dong Pagoda which is renowned for its cultural and historical significance, as well as its serene environment. Take time to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, engage in the offerings and worship and learn more about Buddhism in Vietnam.

Following a morning of sightseeing, relax by enjoying a lunch made up of local foods.

You will spend the afternoon visiting Trang An, which has been recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2014. Explore the tunnel cave systems on this 2 hour boat trip and take in the sights.

Marvel at the Mua Cave (Dancing Cave) then begin the 500 step climb to the top of the summit.

The perfect way to end the day is by climbing to the top of Lying Dragon Mountain and admiring the awe-inspiring panoramic views of Tam Coc.

As the day draws to a close, you will board the night bus bound for Sapa.

Explore the mountains, fields, and streams by trekking along the local paths, visiting Sa Deng Village. Take a glimpse into a village untouched by tourists and daily life as a local. There’s also the opportunity to take dip in a nearby waterfall if the weather is not too cold!

Rest in-between trekking by enjoying lunch in a local restaurant in the Green Valley.

We will then walk further into the mountains, taking time to fall in love with the serenity of Vietnamese countryside.

Arriving at the homestay, you will get to meet local families and enjoy cooking dinner together. Spend the evening with the whole group, playing games and drinking ‘happy water’!

Begin your day with a delicious home-cooked breakfast; preparing you for an exciting day of trekking through picturesque fields and the Bamboo Forest.

You’ll get to explore the hidden gems of Su Pan and Giang Ta Chai villages. Here you will see traditional houses, schools, and even a church, gaining insight into the life of a local as you learn more about their culture.

Continue the trek to Su Pan of the Black H’Mong People. Enjoy a local lunch here together, before heading back to Sapa town.

You will catch the bus back to Hanoi and can spend the rest of the day experiencing the city in your own way.

Today you’ll enjoy an exciting overnight excursion to the stunning Ha long Bay.

Your private transfer will take you from your hotel to the Tuan Chau Harbour.

Upon arrival at Ha long Bay, you will board the boat and settle into your room. Enjoy a lunch made up of traditional Vietnamese dishes, whilst cruising the bay and marvelling at the iconic rock formations and pristine beaches.

You’ll then head on to the quaint Xuan Thuy Incense Village and My Lam Village where you’ll immerse yourself in the artistry of hat-making. Skilled teachers will guide you in creating your own Vietnam conical hat (nón lá), a cherished symbol of Vietnamese identity.

Embark on an enthralling motorbike journey from Hue to Hoi An, where you can enjoy the stunning Hai Van mountain pass. We’ll also stop by the beautiful Tam Giang Lagoon, the largest lagoon in Vietnam.

Continue with a visit to the Dream Stream, nestled amidst verdant hills and, further along, the pristine shores of Lang Co Beach.

On the way, you can stop for lunch at a local restaurant, arriving in Hoi An just after 2pm.

The cars will pick you up and take the group to the hotel in Da Nang.

Upon reaching Da Nang, you’ll take the 10 minute trek up to Marble Mountains. Explore the ancient temples Tam Thai and Linh Ung Pagoda, with the highest Lady Buddha statue in Vietnam.
