We specialise in organising trips for societies, sports clubs and student groups in higher education. We take care of all the details, from flight booking, accommodation and activities management, and account management to ensure the trip runs smoothly for our clients. 

Description: 

Our dynamic student travel company is seeking an experienced Sales and Marketing Coordinator to support our team with our sales processes and marketing plans. The ideal candidate will be responsible for finding and developing leads, developing and executing an outreach plan, and closing prospective clients. The candidate will also support our social media platforms. The Sales and Marketing Manager will work closely with other team members to ensure the successful delivery of our services to clients.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and suppliers.

  • Create and implement effective strategies for customer outreach and acquisition.

  • Work with the sales manager to handle inbound and outbound sales enquiries. Arrange and execute sales calls to understand the client’s needs and close deals. 

  • Create quotes and itineraries to assist with the sales process.

  • Work towards achieving target net and gross profit revenues.

  • Assist with the operational organisation to ensure the smooth running of trips.

  • Maintain expert knowledge of UniLife destinations, student experience, and travel trends.

  • Support the creation and expansion of marketing material and plans.

  • Manage and oversee UniLife’s social media presence to promote our student travel programs.

  • Ensure that all participants are kept informed about our trips via timely info letters and email reminders.

  • Manage multiple accounts and maintain direct communication with clients, partners, and suppliers.

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote our student travel programs and drive sales.

  • Create and manage marketing campaigns, including email, social media, and digital advertising.

  • Develop and maintain social media accounts and online presence.

  • Analyse and report on sales and marketing performance, making recommendations for improvement.

  • Attend University welcome fairs and industry events to promote our brand and generate leads.

  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure the successful delivery of our services to clients.

 

Person Specification

 

Essential Characteristics:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Creative and innovative thinking

  • Ability to work in high-pressure environments

  • Excellent organisation and the ability to multi-task efficiently 

  • Attention to detail

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, social media platforms & Tech-literate.

  • Willingness to travel and work on evenings/weekends when necessary

 

Desirable Characteristics:

  • Passion for travel and working with students

  • Knowledge and experience of Student Unions (Membership/committee positions in Societies or sports clubs are highly desirable) 

  • Experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the travel industry.

  • Experience in developing successful marketing strategies and achieving revenue targets

  • Experience working with Canva to create digital marketing collateral

  • Ability to lead large groups 

 

Salary: £21,000 + Competitive commission structure

Duration: Permanent 

 

Requirements:

  • 9:30 am – 5:30 pm Monday to Friday core working hours (37.5 hours per week)

  • There will be some requirements to work on evenings and weekends (time off in lieu can be accrued) 

  • Ability to Commute to Nottingham office 3 days per week (2 days remote work per week)
